The short version:

This website does not use cookies, does not track you, and does not build profiles of its visitors. We collect only what we need to run the site and answer your enquiries.

Enquiries

If you contact us by email or phone, we process the information you share with us, such as your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message. We use it only to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering those who contact us (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). We keep the information for as long as necessary to follow up your enquiry and then delete it, unless we are required by law to retain it, for example under accounting rules.

Website analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first analytics service, to understand how the website performs and how it is used. It does not use cookies, local storage or device fingerprinting, and it does not follow you across other websites. Metrics are collected in aggregate only, such as page views, load times, browser type and country-level location. Your IP address is processed briefly to determine an approximate region, but it is never logged or stored. No individual visitor profiles are created.

Video playback

Videos on this website are streamed through Mux. When you play a video, technical playback data is processed to deliver the stream and monitor playback quality. This includes device type, browser and a truncated, pseudonymised IP address. Cookies are disabled in the video player, and no personally identifiable information is stored. Pseudonymised playback data is retained by Mux for up to 100 days. You can read more in the Mux privacy policy.

Map

The map of our locations loads map tiles from OpenFreeMap, an open-source map service. Your IP address is transmitted as part of the technical request to load the map, as with any web resource. No cookies are set and no tracking takes place.

Technical logs

Our hosting providers process IP addresses and technical request data briefly in order to deliver the website securely and protect it against abuse. These logs are kept only for a short period.

Cookies

This website does not set cookies. That is also why you don't see a cookie banner.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete personal data we hold about you, to object to how it is processed, and to data portability. To exercise your rights, contact us at sales@novasea.no. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet.
